The end of our financial year coincided with the departure of Mr Butana Mboniswa, CEO of BioPAD since its inception, and Mr Delon Mudaly, Portfolio Manager (Bioprocessing and Industrial Biotech). I would like to pay tribute to the exceptional contribution made by both Butana and Delon in building and shaping BioPAD into what it is today; I trust that they will continue to support BioPAD and our stakeholders in pursuit of buildinag a sustainable bioeconomy in the region.

US$40 million funding boost for African researchers
The UK-based medical charity the Wellcome Trust announced last week (11 April) that it would give £20 million (nearly US$40 million) towards training scientists in Sub-Saharan Africa.The focus will be on assisting young researchers who are completing or have recently completed their PhDs.
